Daytona Prices Soar at the Monaco Legend Group's Fall Auction
Last month, the Monaco auction did $22 million in sales, and Daytonas were among the highest priced items sold. Our biggest takeaway from these auction prices? Now is the time to invest in a pre-ceramic Daytona.
It's no secret that vintage Rolex Daytonas are highly sought after and hard to get your hands on. Glenn Bradford has curated an incredible selection that is housed in our Southampton location.

Did you know that Paul Newman's personal 'Paul Newman' Daytona sold for $17.75 million in 2017? It set an all time record high for a wristwatch sold at auction. Over the summer, Jay-Z was spotted wearing the "Newman Dial" Daytona, Ref 6263. We have seen a spike in demand and prices since then, thanks to the "Jay-Z Effect."
Designed for racing professionals in the 1960s, the Daytona was not particularly popular at first, so production numbers were naturally low. The timepiece eventually became cool and desirable when Paul Newman, the famous actor and race car driver, was seen sporting one. Because there are limited vintage Daytonas in existence today, they increase in rarity and value every year.
