The Pursuit of Excellence
This year marks the 60th anniversary of the legendary Rolex Daytona. Introduced in 1963, the Rolex Cosmograph was initially designed for racing enthusiasts. Shortly thereafter, the name evolved to reference the most prestigious race in NASCAR — The Daytona International Speedway. We now refer to this style as the "Cosmograph Daytona" or just simply the "Daytona."
In addition to the Daytona, Rolex is celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Rolex Submariner this year. The Submariner was added to Rolex's expansive collection as a water-resistant style made for divers.
