"Waves" A 7' x 6' (3' x 6' each) diptych painting on canvas with many layers of acrylic, gloss medium and varnish. Sharyn has spent her summers in The Hamptons for many years with her husband, jewelry designer Glenn Bradford, and their 3 children. Known for its stunning beaches, it has provided endless inspiration for the creative couple. This past summer Sharyn created her first painting of the ocean. She chose to symbolize her love and respect for the energy of the ocean by painting 2 large scale waves which together create a heart shape. Incorporated in the painting are words that were streamed intermittently throughout the large canvases which were drawn from a Radiohead album she listened to throughout its' creation. The words are there not to be necessarily read verbatim but as a reminder that our thoughts have energy, our music has energy, just as the waves of the ocean and are intertwined within our life's experiences.
